Due to Government and Public Health guidelines, we are unable to see patients in the clinic who have symptoms suggestive of COVID 19. The most common recognised symptoms are fever (above 37.8C) or a new onset cough. Any respiratory symptoms can be suggestive and 10% of patients are reported to have gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhoea.
The practice continues to run as close to normally as possible, given the current travel restrictions. Telephone and video consultations are replacing many of our face to face contacts, but we are still seeing patients when appropriate. Home visits continue to be possible, provided COVID is not suspected. Please contact the practice if you would like us to book an appointment for you.

We appreciate your understanding as we all get used to new ways of working. We will continue to answer your emails, telephone calls and voicemail as quickly as possible.
At present, all testing is being conducted through the NHS and is limited to the most unwell hospitalised patients. It is anticipated that testing for the virus and antibody testing to show previous exposure will come on-stream soon but it is not yet clear what the availability to the Private Sector will be.
A number of private clinics and labs are offering tests online, but at the time of writing none of these have been approved by Public Health England. We will keep this under review.
